Congregate Meal Programs
On August 1, 2000, HFA launched its first congregate meal service in an effort to relieve hunger, provide nutritional needs, and offer socio-cultural support for Chicago’s Korean seniors. Through the lunch program, HFA helps seniors overcome alienation by providing opportunities to find social support, camaraderie, and a deeper sense of community. Today both the Chicago and Mt. Prospect Offices provide daily nutritious hot Korean meals Monday thru Friday for over 200 seniors residing both in the city and the northern suburbs. Anyone whose age is 60 and over, disabled and their caregivers can enjoy the program with a nominal suggested donation. The program is funded by the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services-Senior Service and AgeOptions under Older American Acts III-C. If you're interested in receiving the weekly menu, please email to email@example.com
Home Delivery Meal Program
Nutritious Korean meals are delivered to home bound seniors that are unable to prepare meals on their own at their home. In order to qualify, you must be 60 and older and a resident of Schaumburg and Elk Grove Township (Rolling Meadows. Schaumburg, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Streamwood, Elk Grove Village, Mount Prospect). Program is funded by AgeOptions and please contact our Mt. Prospect office for more questions. Contact Mira Lee for more information at 847-439-5195 ext.210.
Power of Attorney
A power of attorney (POA) is a legal document giving one person (the agent) the power to act for another person (the principal). The agent can have broad legal authority or limited authority to make legal decisions about the principal's property, finances or medical care. With generous donation of time and expertise from the Mirae Law Group, Hanul provides application assistance to seniors that wish to have their power of attorney prepared at one of our three offices. Contact Eunnie Park at 773-478-8851 ext.109 for more information.
